Description

Cantillon Cuvée de l'Espérance is a gueuze blended from equal parts 1, 2, and 3-year old lambic (rather than the standard Cantillon classic blend). The 3-year-old portion of the lambic in this blend comes exclusively from Cognac barrels.

History / Other Notes

Barrel selection for batch 1 of this blend took place in the winter of 2019. In the summer of 2020, due to the cancelation of the Brews for New Avenues event, bottles were released via online sale. These bottles were sold as a single purchase or a two bottle set with two pieces of glassware and access to a virtual guided tasting with Jean Van Roy.

Batch 2…

The label art was designed by Kyle Olson and printing was donated by Rose City Label in Portland.
