This geuze is a blend of 10% 1-year-old lambic, 50% 2-year-old lambic, and 40% 3-year-old lambic. Single 60 gallon barrel batch.
History / Other Notes
Macvin is a vin de liqueur from the Jura wine region in France. Macvin is a blended by adding eau-de-vie to grape must before the fermentation process starts. This specific barrel was used by Michel Gahier for 30 years to age Macvin following the solera method. The Macvin was always a blend of 8 to 10 different vintages.
