History
Founded 1876 in Saint-Gilles by Ferdinand De Coster-Heymans. Pre-dated by "Les Trois Etrilles/Drie Roskammen" and "Les Trois Couppes/Drije Coppen". De Coster-Heymans took over Drie Roskammen (formerly Wielemans-Ceuppens) in 1885 at Niewland 65-67, and ran it until 1899, when the brewery was moved to rue de France 7-8 (formerly "Les Trois Couppes/Drije Coppen", Systermans freres). The brewery is run by F. De Coster-Heymans widow from 1920-1925, then moved to Boulevard Barthelemy 39. [1] Merged with Vandenkerckhoven in 1932, and later acquired by Brasseries Unies in 1963. [2]
