Description

Cantillon Framboise a raspberry lambic. It is the predecessor to Rose de Gambrinus.

History / Other Notes

Cantillon is the first known lambic blender to make a Framboise. In 1909, Jean Van Roy reports that they made more Framboise than Kriek. This continued until production of Framboise stopped during World War I. [1] Framboise was reintroduced in the 1980s when the two batches listed below were made.

Unsubstantiated Stories

It is unknown if any unlabeled bottles of Framboise were produced between World War I and 1982.
