Description

Lindemans Kriek is a filtered, pasteurized, and sweetened lambic with cherry juice and cherry flavoring added. It is labeled as 3.5% ABV and released in 250 mL, 355 mL, 375 mL, and 750 mL bottles.

History / Other Notes

Lindemans Kriek as consumers know it today has been available since 1979. 25% percent cherry juice by volume is added before filtering and pasteurization. Since 2012, all sweetened Lindemans beers use the natural sweetener Stevia. Before 2012, they were sweetened with Acesulfame K. Before bottling, the sweetened beers are put through a centrifuge for filtration.

In 2016, the Lindemans line of sweetened fruit lambics received new label approval in the United States (pictured below).
