History
Brasserie Fr. Wets & Fils was a lambic blender founded in 1926 by Frans Wets in Sint-Genesius Rode. It was located on Alsembergsesteenweg in Tenbroek (Alsemberg), and produced Gueuze and Kriek. Wets had taken over the beer business from his brother-in-law Vandergucht in 1924. His son Guillame took over shortly after in 1928, expanding the business. In 1977, son-in-law Michel De Neve continued the business, and stopped brewing in 1980. De Neve continued Kriek production until 1987, and Girardin continued production until 1993.
