History

Lambic brewer & blender, originally founded in Lembeek as a lambic brewery (Brasserie Hygiëna) in 1860 by Louis Paul, which began bottling lambic in 1875. In 1898, Pierre Troch took over, then in 1927 due to the economic crisis, the brewery was sold by his son Réne Troch, to Jozef De Vits, a local tavern owner and gueuze-blender. Frank Boon purchased first brewing equipment and learned the trade from Réne De Vits when he retired in 1978.[1]
