Publitasting is a blendery started in 2021 by Geert Demuynck.
History / Side Notes
During a visit with colleagues in 1981, Geert Demuynck became a lambic enthusiast upon tasting his first lambic, served still from an oak barrel at the "De Koekoek" café in the town of Asse. At this time, he was working for the national TV channel BRT. He started researching everything related to lambic and geuzes, and over the next several years, began visiting breweries and public events.
In 2016, the idea of creating his own project began to bloom, and a plan was set in motion. In 2021, he founded Publitasting.
Most of the beers are intended to be limited editions and/or original blends, rather than traditional geuzes and krieks. Publitasting uses a multitude of barrels and added ingredients, with the intent to create perfect complements to unique food pairings.
There are no future plans for brewing, as blending offers the possibility and freedom to create many unique small batches.
