According to Jean-Pierre Van Roy, the Cuvée Mozart is a bière d’étiquette/etiketbier (lit. “label beer”), meaning that an existing beer from the Cantillon range was used to produce this bottle. In this case, it was [[Cantillon_Framboise|Cantillon Framboise]].

The Cuvée Mozart was created for a club of people associated to the Cirque Royale/Koninklijk Circus (Royal Circus) in Brussels, who often feature classical music concerts.

Cantillon Cuvée Mozart is a raspberry lambic with a small amount of vanilla (at the time, Jean-Pierre Van Roy was adding vanilly to his classic raspberry lambic - Framboise - to make the acidity of the fruit softer) aged in port barrels and released in 1991. History / Other Notes

The Port barrels came from the same delivery as the ones used for the original batch of Brabantiae. This beer is similar to the classic Framboise at the time, except for the use of these particular barrels that added Port qualities to it.

Cuvée Mozart was created for a club of people associated to the Cirque Royale/Koninklijk Circus (Royal Circus) in Brussels, who often feature classical music concerts.

This bottling was done to celebrate the Mozart Year in 1991 (the 200th anniversary of Mozart’s death), which saw a series of concerts happen in his honor in a park in Brussels each saturday from may to august, where Jean-Pierre and Jean Van Roy would go during the entire duration to pour the beer.

Bottles were also for purchase at the brewery in the summer of 1991.
