History

Founded in 1876 as "J.B. Herbos VVe. & fils" in Brussels. Renamed "Brasserie L'Etoile" in 1893. Taken over and renamed Vandenkerckhoven in 1940. Merged with De Coster-Heymans in 1948, becoming Vandenkerckhoven-De Coster-Heymans. Finally merged with Brasserie Unies, which was acquired by Belle-Vue and closed in 1969.
