A Loerik is a blend of lambics intended to be gueuze. However, for some reason, the beer fails to referment. In 1998, a Cantillon gueuze was bottled that did exactly that.  Sooner or later, these beers usually go through some form of refermentation which was the case with this batch.

In 2003 and 2004, Cantillon occasionally would open bottles for brewery visitors.  Beginning in April 2004, bottles were sold commercially, featuring Poje on the label.  At a minimum, bottles were distributed to bars and stores in Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, and the United States.

Description
