Cantillon Cognac

← Cantillon

Description

Cantillon Cognac lambic was a test batch of lambic brewed in 2003 and subsequently aged in Cognac barrels for one year. There were two test batches named F-14 and F-17. This test would prove to be an initial step in commercially producing a large-run Cognac barrel-aged lambic in 2007 under the name Cantillon 50 Degrees North - 4 Degrees East.

History / Other Notes

Cantillon Cognac was not sold at the brewery or distributed. It was available from the cask during the 2004 Cantillon Open Brew Days. Bottles were given to friends of the brewery. A few bottles were also sold for onsite consumption at Akkurat in 2005, and to go at Ølbutikken in 2011.
