Description

Menu Pineau is a grape lambic made with 300 g/L of Menu Pineau grape from the Loire region of France. This is the same region as for the Pineau d’Aunis grape. Menu Pineau grapes are also known as Arbois or Petit Pineau, and are known for their low acidity and often used to soften high acidity wines.[1]

History / Other Notes

For Zwanze 2011, Cantillon blended different batches of lambic with Menu Pineau and Pineau d’Aunis grapes. In 2016, bottles of the original Menu Pineau began appearing for on-site consumption at the brewery in very limited numbers.

New batches of Menu Pineau were produced in 2018 and 2019. The 2019 vintage was released in to go packs in May of 2020, after the brewery reopened following the COVID-19 shutdown.
