Description
Cantillon Assemblage de l'Amitié is the first of three Wild Friendship Blends presented as a collaboration between Brasserie Cantillon, Allagash Brewing Company, and Russian River Brewing Company. The first was blended at Cantillon and sold onsite only at the Quintessence event on May 1, 2014. Each friendship blend is an equal blend of spontaneously fermented beers from the respective breweries. Specifically:
- 33% Cantillon Lambic
- 33% Allagash Coolship Resurgam
- 33% Russian River Sonambic
History / Other Notes
According to an agreement made by the breweries involved, it was decided not to sell the beer in bottles, and only to pour the beer at events where people could enjoy it together. On May 7, Russian River hosted an event to debut their blend of the beer at the brewery.
On May 9, 2015 Allagash hosted a tasting and release party fundraiser of their blend for Full Plates Full Potential, an initiative aimed at ending childhood hunger in Maine. [1]
A donated bottle from Cantillon of Assemblage de l'Amitié was also auctioned off in a charity auction for Brews For New Avenues, an annual event hosted by the New Avenues For Youth organization aimed at ending youth homelessness.
