Brabrux was founded in 1871, in Wolvertem, Belgium. It became a conglomeration of several other lambic breweries including [[Brasserie Vanderperre | Vanderperre]], Taymans, Ch. & R. History

Originally founded 1871 in Wolvertem, by Jan Jozef De Keersmaecker as the De Keersmaecker brewery. In the mid 20th century it was known as Brouwerij C. & R. De Keersmaecker. In 1967, Brabrux became a conglomeration of several other lambic breweries including Vanderperre and Taymans, then later acquired by Belle-Vue in 1969. The brewery was closed in 1990 by De Neve under the ownership of Belle-Vue. The former brewery site now houses apartments and a fitness center.
