Description

Lambic aged on Timorasso grape from I Carpini in the Emilia-Romagna region in Italy.

History / Side Notes

Timorasso (a grape native to the Tortona area in the southeast of Piedmont) is rare and almost disappeared during the 20th century. It is making a comeback thanks to producers and other prominent members of the wine scene, especially Walter Massa (as well as a small group of producers friends joining him, calling themselves the "Derthona Dreamers Team"), who worked hard to convince wine sommeliers to give the grape a chance at a time when inexpensive white wines were leading the market. Timorasso needs time to reach its potential, but is very rewarding. Some say this grape is still one of the best kept secrets of Italy.

So far, the beer has not been officially released, but displayed typical notes of citrus, almond and honey found in orange wine.
