Description

Cantillon Cognac is an Oude Lambic that spent 5 years in cognac barrels prior to bottling. Unlike 50n4e no additional sugars were added at bottling for refermentation and carbonation. As a result, LH12 pours completely still.

History / Other Notes

This beer was debuted at The Lambic Summit 2010. Additionally, they were briefly available for sale at Moeder Lambic in Brussels.

The name, LH12 describes the identification markings that were placed on the barrel. The type of beer is signified at 12 o'clock on the barrel with chalk. The season (alphabetical and then recycled once you hit Z) is at 9 o'clock, the brew number is at 3 o'clock.

  • L means lambic
  • H is the brewing season
  • 12 is the brew number from that season
