History
Built in 1933 in Essene by Jules Wambacq, the mayor of Essene. A brewery site since the early 16th century, owned by the Wambacq family. Faro was first brewed here in 1848. Brasserie Ankerhof produced Faro, Gueuze, Kriek, Mars, and was active from 1933-1957.
