Description

Cantillon Cuvée Saint Gilloise is a two year old lambic that is dry-hopped and bottled with a small amount of liquor to being refermentation in the bottle. It is bottled yearly in 75cl bottles, but has been available in 37.5cl on at least one occasion in 2010 and on tap at various locations.

History / Other Notes

Cuvée Saint Gilloise is the successor to Cuvée des Champions and generally thought to be of the same line of lambics. The name and color scheme for the labeling is derived from the Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, a Belgian football club originally located in the municipality of Saint-Gilles, in Brussels near Cantillon. In 2013 made a special bottling of Saint Gilloise in both 1.5L and 3L bottles for people who owned or purchased season tickets for the 2013-2014 season.
