The beer was also sold throughout parts of Europe and was available on several Belgian-based webshops.  There is some debate as to whether or not this beer is a "traditional" Faro due to the fact that it has not been determined at what point the candi sugar was added, and the beer itself lacks the traditional grain bill of lambic. Approximately 3700 bottles of Straffe Winter were bottled in January of 2008, and the label notes that it is a one-time only bottling.
