Description

3 Fonteinen Framboos is a lambic blended with raspberries from the Pajottenland. It is bottled in 75cl bottles and is labeled as 6% ABV.

History / Other Notes

3 Fonteinen Framboos has been released sporadically by the brewery since at least 1990. Bottles of the 1990 Framboos were sold at De Heeren van Liedekercke as recently as 2014. The most recent major release of Framboos was bottled in 2014 and released at the brewery and through online shops in early 2015. The 2011 batch was released at the first Sour & Bitter Festival in 2012 where it was available to drink on-site as well as to take away for 200Dkr or about $35USD. The 2011 version has also been available for sale for short periods of time through various online vendors.

In 2015, the new batch of Framboos received label approval for distribution in the United States.[1]

Unsubstantiated Stories

Bottles of Framboos from pre-1999 are said to exist as well, though only through anecdotal accounts. More research is needed to confirm their existence.
