The idea for this fruited gueuze came about in 2015 when a friend of the blendery returned from Burkina Faso with hibiscus flowers from the village of Boulbi. In the spring of 2018, the process of creating the first hibiscus lambic commenced. It debuted on June 16, 2019 at an event at the gueuzerie at which bottles were served on-site for 25 euro each. All proceeds from the bottle sale went towards school supplies for the village school in Boulbi, Burkina Faso outside the capital city of Ouagadougou. This lambic was blended in memory of another friend of the geuzerie who passed away in 2014.
