Lindemans Kriek as consumers know it today has been available since 1979. Twenty-five percent cherry juice by volume is added before filtering and pasteurization.<ref name = LindemansSite> Brouwerij Lindemans - [http://www.lindemans.be/beer/kriek Kriek description]</ref> Since 2012, all sweetened Lindemans beers are sweetened with the natural sweetener Stevia. Before 2012 they were sweetened with Acesulfame K. Before bottling, the sweetened beers are put through a centrifuge for filtration.<ref name=LindemansPersonalCommunication>Personal Communication, Lindemans Sweetener and Filtration, 2014</ref>
In 2016 the Lindemans line of sweetened fruit lambics received new label approvalin the United States, pictured below.
