Het Boerenerf Belle et Jolie

← Het Boerenerf

Description

Belle et Jolie is made of Gamay wine previously vinified and aged to preserve freshness, blended with 2-year-old lambic at a ratio of about 40% wine to lambic. It was created in collaboration with Marc from Château de Durette (Beaujolais) and the grapes were grown on the Régnié terroir, one of the 10 crus of the AOC Beaujolais.

It is a variant of the release Beau et Joli (which is basically the same beer bottled earlier at a slightly lower ABV, and carbonated), meant to display a different expression, and bottled still to blur the bridge between lambic and wine.

It is only bottled in a Burgundy wine bottle of 750 mL and listed as 8.8% ABV.

History / Other Notes

This release is packaged in a Burgundy bottle instead of a traditional lambic / Champagne bottle, and contains a drip of wax at the top with no metal crown cap, which is Boerenerf signature for still wine blends.
