Description

Boon Vat 44 Monoblend is a geuze made primarily from a high gravity brew aged in foeder #44 blended with a small portion of young lambic to spark a secondary fermentation in the bottle. It was available in 37,5cl bottles and is 8.5% ABV.

History / Other Notes

Vat 44 was first released to commemorate the opening of Boon's new brewhouse in 2013. The beer was brewed in December of 2008, placed in foeder #44 (one of the first that Frank purchased), and bottled in August 2010. It was bottled conditioned until its release in April 2013. Approximately 20,500 bottles were released.[1]
