Description

Oud Beersel Bzart Oude Geuze is an oude geuze released by Oud Beersel in collaboration with Luc Dirkx in 2013 with a 2007 vintage date.[1] It is finished with champagne yeast and sugar added at bottling to spark a refermentation in the bottle. Bzart Oude Kriek was relesaed in both 75cl and 1.5L bottles and is 8% ABV.

History / Other Notes

Bzart Oude Geuze underwent the "Méthode Traditionnelle" (or "Méthode Chamepnoise" in Champagne terms) in which a riddling and disgorgement process takes place. This process, performed by Guy Geunis, gives the beer a sparkling wine type finish.
