History

Founded 1829 in Brussels by Jacques Vandenbruggen, the brewery pre-dates Hérinckx-Duchesne (1866), Herinckx-Toussaint (1908), and Toussaint Freres (1922). Eventually it was acquired by Brasseries Unies, which was later taken over by Belle-Vue and closed in 1969. [1]
