Description

Cantillon Super Gueuze is a gueuze that was bottled at least once in 1983. It consists of 1, 2, and 3 year old lambic and was bottled in 75cl and 37,5cl bottles. The term super does not designate anything different was done with this blend of gueuze, but instead was a marketing term used by Cantillon in the 1980's.[1]

Label

Label text translation:
"Artisanal gueuze from Brussels. Pure lambic (1, 2 and 3 years). All natural. No preservatives or chemical additives. No saccharine. Living, ageable beer. Store horizontally at cellar temperature."

The last paragraph on this label would literally translate to "Lay me back down on my side at cellar temperature." This would suggest that bottles were shipped or stored upright at the point of sale, and appears to be an invitation to the bottle's new owner to store it horizontally, at cellar temperature. To date, this constitutes the only known documentation of Cantillon suggesting horizontal storage of their products.
