Description

Lindemans Kriek is a filtered, pasteurized, and sweetened lambic with cherry juice and cherry flavoring added. It is labeled as 3.5% ABV and released in 250ml, 355ml, 375ml, and 750ml bottles.

History / Other Notes

Lindemans Kriek as consumers know it today has been available since 1979. Twenty-five percent cherry juice by volume is added before filtering and pasteurization.[1] Since 2012, all sweetened Lindemans beers are sweetened with the natural sweetener Stevia. Before 2012 they were sweetened with Acesulfame K. Before bottling, the sweetened beers are put through a centrifuge for filtration.[2]

In 2016 the Lindemans line of sweetened fruit lambics received new label approval in the United States, pictured below.
