Hubert van Herreweghen's ''Geuze en Humanisme'' was orignally a lecture given by the author to the Flemish Club in Brussels in June of 1955. That same year it was printed in a limited run of 400 copies. It was reprinted in 2010 to commemorate the 90th birthday of the author. In the book, van Herreweghen, a poet, discusses the Flemish culture and the beer that defines it, lambic. Topics discussed cover the origin of the word "geuze", the history of the beer itself, as well as a recitation and review of several poems written about geuze throughout the years.
