Description
Hanssens Oudbeitje Lambic is a regularly lambic with Belgian strawberries added. It is available in 37,5cl bottles and is 6% ABV.
History / Other Notes
Hanssens Oudbeitje is the only commercially available, non-back sweetened strawberry lambic. It was first blended in 2000 with a blend of Boon and Girardin lambic. In May of 2000, 150 kg of Belgian strawberries were added to every 600 liter barrel of two year old lambic. Oudbeitje was first bottled in March 2001 and continues to be a regular presence in the Hanssens lineup.[1]
