Tilquin Oude (Gueuze Tilquin)² à l’Ancienne is the product of ~~a batch~~ of regular [[Oude_Gueuze_Tilquin_à_L'Ancienne|Tilquin Oude Gueuze Tilquin à L'Ancienne]] that overcarbonated in the bottle. As a result of this overcarbonation, the bottles were emptied into an oak barrel again for another period of maturation. The result was subsequently bottled a second time as Oude (Gueuze Tilquin)² à l’Ancienne.

The first batch of Tilquin Oude (Gueuze Tilquin)² à l’Ancienne is the product of two bottlings of regular [[Oude_Gueuze_Tilquin_à_L'Ancienne|Tilquin Oude Gueuze Tilquin à L'Ancienne]] that overcarbonated in the bottle. As a result of this overcarbonation, approximately 10,000 37,5cl bottles from the 2011-2012 season and 10,000 37,5cl bottles from the 2012-2013 season were emptied into an oak barrel again for another period of maturation. The result was subsequently bottled a second time as Oude (Gueuze Tilquin)² à l’Ancienne.

A second bottling was released in 2016 consisting of a batch of 75cl bottles from the 2013-2014 season that underwent the same process.
