The first Toer de Geuze took place in 1997 when [[Brouwerij_Boon|Boon]], [[De_Cam_Geuzestekerij|De Cam]], [[Brouwerij_Lindemans|Lindemans]], [[Brouwerij_De_Troch|De Troch]], [[Brouwerij_3_Fonteinen|3 Fonteinen]], and [[Brouwerij_Timmermans|Timmermans]] openened opened their doors to the public. Toer de Geuze is now one of the largest lambic-centered events in the Pajottenland. Charter buses now run specific routes to take attendees to the different breweries, and a riding tour of the Pajottenland takes place in concurrence with the Toer de Geuze.
