Overview

Biir is a brewery in Spain that produces a variety of IPAs and other craft beers. One of their partners, Gunther Bensch, has worked around lambic for many years. Gunther previously represented Girardin at beer festivals, and created the first Lambic - Tripel blend at the brewery Dilewyns. [1]

In 2014 Biir released two lambic blends, a kriek and a gueuze. It is unclear who's lambic is being used in this initiative.

100% lambic beer, aged in French oak barrels, with 450gr/l of whole cherries and raspberries, without added sugars, blended by G. Bensch, the maker of tripel-gueuze.

Lambics are a traditional Belgian style, made exclusively in the Zenne Valley, combined with red fruits to get a exclusive and balanced sour and sweet taste.

4B OUDE GUEUZE. Lambic Series 2014

This beer is called 4B because is a Blend of 4 Lambic Beers from 4 different Brewers and 4 different aging, made by Gunther Bensch between Barcelona and Brussels. [2]

BIIR Oude Gueuze is a 100% lambic beer, aged 36, 24, 18 & 12 months in French oak barrels. Blended by Gunther Bensch (Montaigu), the maker of Tripel Gueuze.

Oude Gueuze is a traditional Belgian style made exclusive with lambic beers brewed in the Zenne Valley. It is also called Brussels Champagne.
