Cantillon Public Brewing Sessions
Overview
Each year, Cantillon opens its doors during a brewing session to allow the public to view the brewing process. The first public brewing session took place on February 21, 1981 with the name brassin spécial.[1] The 2014 Public Brewing Session took place on November 15, 2014 and included tours every 30 minutes following this schedule:
- 6:30-9:00 Brewing process
- 6:30-12:00 Barrel cleaning "ancient method"
- 9:00-13:00 Filtration and hopping
- 13:00-15:00 Cooking
- 15:30 Pumping of wort into the cooling tun
