History / Side Notes
Solaris is a grape created in Germany by crossing multiple white varieties, most of them also coming from different crossings and breedings as the product of a program aiming to create disease-resistant grape varieties. It has good resistance against fungal attacks, and is commonly grown in northern European countries with marginal climate for winemaking, such as Belgium, the Netherlands, England, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
