Vat 59 Monoblend
Description
Boon Vat 59 Monoblend is a geuze containing lambic from foeder #59 brewed on March 29th, 2019, and bottled on April 1st, 2021. It was released in 375 mL bottles and is labeled as 8% ABV. It was released in a "VAT Discovery Box" along with bottles of Vat 16 Monoblend, Vat 93 Monoblend, and Vat 122 Monoblend, and a tasting manual.
History / Other Notes
VAT 59 / Foeder n°59 used to carry Calvados and is in service at Boon since October 2007. It is known to impart a stronger woody character, and in the case of that particular blend some smoky hints and a gentle bitterness.
