Dave's first exposure to lambic was a Boon Marriage Parfait Geuze in 2009. He thought people were crazy for liking things like that. It was only a couple months later after his first trip to Belgium that he was fully converted and he's been passionate about lambic ever since. Dave joined the lambic.info team in summer 2016 and his contributions focus on brewing process and historic production. Outside of lambic.info Dave is a homebrewer and a contributor to the Milk the Funk wiki. Dave keeps a homebrewing and beer history blog called Hors Catégorie Brewing.

Dave's background is in chemistry and he works as a chemical oceanographer (ocean chemist).
