History
Founded in Overmere in 1886 as “Brasserie Sept Etoiles" by the widow of J.E. Baeten-Van Heymbeeck. Leopold Frans Baeten (b.1865, Dworp) and Robert Baeten later owned the brewery. It closed in 1945 after WWII, but the building remained in use for some time after, bottling the beer "Excelsior".
