About
Bill Young has been an active member of the craft beer scene for more than 20 years. Beginning in 1993, Bill began homebrewing and purchasing and cellaring some of the most interesting commercial beers available in the world. Throughout this time, he has attended and volunteered at numerous beer festivals throughout North America and Europe. He volunteers as a Steward and Sorter for the Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup competitions.
After his tenth trip to Europe, Bill realized that he had a particular passion for Belgian lambic. As lambic was becoming popular, he found that people online were making up facts up and spreading mis-information to suit their needs. There was very little good documentation on the subject, and most of it was buried in out-dated books and blog posts that were seldom read or referenced. At this point, Bill and Adam created Lambic.Info. This project is a non-profit labor of love, helping provide accurate, well-documented research and reference material about lambic. It has expanded to more than 500 pages of content and 2500 photographs and is regularly edited to ensure that it is up to date.
Bill continues to make at least 5-6 beer specific trips per year, traveling the world to gain and share knowledge about beer. He has been cited or written about in The Denver Post, Craft Beer and Brewing Magazine, All About Beer Magazine, and others.
