Description

Cantillon Cuvée de l'Espérance is a gueuze blended from equal parts 1-, 2-, and 3-year old lambic (rather than the standard Cantillon classic blend). The 3-year old portion of the lambic in this blend comes exclusively from Cognac barrels.

History / Other Notes

Barrel selection for this blend took place in the winter of 2019. In the summer of 2020 bottles were released for online sale due to the cancelations of the Brews for New Avenues event because of the Coronavirus pandemic. Bottles were sold online as single purchase or as a two bottle set with two pieces of glassware and access to a virtual guided tasting with Jean Van Roy.

The label art was designed by Kyle Olson and printing was donated by Rose City Label in Portland.
