Description

Boon Vat 110 Monoblend is a geuze containing lambic from foeder #110 brewed on April 16, 2014, and bottled on December 15, 2016. It was released in 375ml bottles and is labeled as 8% ABV. It was released in a "Geuze Discovery Box" along with bottles of Vat 91 Monoblend, Vat 92 Monoblend, and Vat 108 Monoblend, and a tasting manual.

History / Other Notes

Label Notes: VAT 110 is characterized by its richness in aromas originating from the brett yeasts present in the foeder. It is a slightly dry, yet full-bodied traditional Oude Geuze with hints of vanilla and dried fruit.

Tasting Manual: VAT 110 owes its slightly dry but very full-bodied flavour, with a hint of vanilla and dry fruit, to foeder no. 110. This foeder used to serve as a cognac cask and has been used as a Lambic cask by or brewery since 2009. This Traditional Oude Geuze is characterized by a wealth of flavours that developed from the Brettanomyces yeast strains in the cask.
