History / Other Notes
The first batch of Gueuze Cuvée René was released in 1994 at the suggestion of the U.S. importer for Lindemans, Merchant du Vin.[1] It is named for René Lindemans, who was the 6th generation master brewer at Lindemans before retiring and passing his share of the brewery on to his son in 2006. The label, in the Art Nouveau style, was designed Charles Finkel.[2]
