Overview

Toer de Geuze is a biannual event happening in odd-numbered years in which many of HORAL member breweries open their doors to the public for tours and tastings. It is generally organized in the Spring.

History

The first Toer de Geuze took place in 1997 when Boon, De Cam, Lindemans, De Troch, 3 Fonteinen, and Timmermans openened their doors to the public. Toer de Geuze is now one of the largest lambic-centered events in the Pajottenland. Charter buses now run specific routes to take attendees to the different breweries, and a riding tour of the Pajottenland takes place in concurrence with the Toer de Geuze. In 2013, nearly 10,000 people participated in the event.[1]

HORAL Megablend

For the seventh occurance of Toer de Geuze, HORAL commissioned a special geuze bottling from eight of the participating members. The result came to known as HORAL Mega Blend, and it has been bottled for each Toer de Geuze since then.
