Description

Oude Geuze Villa Servais is a limited edition geuze made of young lambics and 3-year-old lambics from smaller casks (adding more wood flavours), in collaboration with Villa Servais, a historic villa in Halle, Belgium, protected by architectural heritage. Maud Leschevin and Geert De Poorter from Villa Servais helped selecting the lambics used in this blend, which is then sold at the villa.

Bottled in 75cl at 7% ABV

History / Side-Notes

Villa Servais was built in 1847 by architect Jean-Pierre Cluysenaar for the famous 19th-century cellist François (Adrien-François) Servais. Maud Leschevin and Geert De Poorter are local art lovers who are actively working on restoring the place, which is now used as an Airbnb, concert venue and for cultural meetings.

Part of the profit of this beer goes to Villa Servais to help the restoration process.

So far, the beer has been brewed in 2021 and 2024 (bottled February 22).
