| 12/14/2020 | 750 mL | In September 2020, we had the honour to pass by at a befriended natural winemaker in Pfaffenheim, Alsace for the second time in a row. After a wild and short night - it was the season workers’ end-of-harvest party - we got up early to pick a few hundred kilos of Gewürz.
That same night, we put the grapes, with stem and all, on an ex-wine barrel and let them sit for three months. While it is hard to pinpoint an exact fruit intensity, it is a beautiful expression of the unique aromas of Gewürztraminer. We used the spent grapes and pomace for other projects...
