This beer came to be as Jean Van Roy wanted to switch grape from the regular offering of [[Cantillon_Vigneronne|Vigneronne]], which at the time was using Muscat table grape. A few trials were made with different grape varietals, including this one, one of the wine grapes variants of Muscat.
